We’re So Proud.jpgshutterstock_81659512.jpgExcellence does not come easily to everyone. It takes a strong will, a desire to achieve and someone to believe in you. The most important thing is to try to be the best you can be. That is a success in itself.

At the Home, many of our girls arrive with learning challenges and difficulty in focusing. Their various traumatic experiences in the not so distant past precludes them from concentrating on their studies. They have so many unpleasant thoughts swirling around in their minds that they often feel frustration and despair.

ElinorSigns.jpgAt the Rubin-Zeffren Children’s Home in Netanya, we not only evaluate each girl’s academic history, but we also delve into their emotional stability, their talents, and their shortcomings.

Recently, Bracha Runes, the Home’s Programs Director spoke to us with the enthusiasm of a proud parent. She told us about girls who came to the Home only this year and who already received certificates of excellence in subjects that they could not tackle only eight months ago.

CertExcellence.jpgAfter a school year with the benefit of counselors’ daily homework help and/or professional tutors’ assistance, each girl showed tremendous improvement in their weak subjects. What’s also very impressive is the girls’ attitude. They strive to be the best they can be.

There is nothing better than gaining self-esteem through hard work and perseverance and then being rewarded at the end of the school year with a commendation and a gift, too.
