Whoever has read the past few issues of Inside Our Home has become familiar with the Hamburger name. Dr. Harry Hamburger, a dear supporter for quite some time now, has been sharing his short children stories with our readers to rave reviews. Now, he’s taken yet another step to help our girls.

Last month, Claudia Hamburger, who’s given us permission to tell her age, celebrated her 40th on Oct. 16th. Her husband organized a party themed in the 80s where more than 100 friends and family attended the patio barbeque bash.

Besides the fun, food and friendship – an important message was given to all the partygoers. It began with the “e-vite” that the Hamburgers sent to their guests.

Their gracious and giving nature amazes us!

Listening to the enthusiasm in Claudia Hamburger’s warm and bubbly voice could influence anyone to participate in helping our dear girls at the Children’s Home. Claudia is proud to tell us that her birthday guests shared her and Dr. Hamburger’s feelings for our special cause – bringing it as close to their friends’ and family’s hearts as it is to theirs.

When asked about her party preparation, the young birthday lady tells us, “Harry did it all!”  She continues by saying that “The 80s theme was his idea – the props, the clothes, everything.” Claudia reflects about Israel saying, “We went to Israel with our synagogue group as part of our son Jordan’s (now 15) Bar Mitzvah celebration.” She adds, “Next time, for our younger son Joshua’s (9 years old) Bar Mitzvah, we want to go again. But, this time, we’ll be on our own and spend more time.”  Hopefully, during their next trip, they’ll also come to Netanya to visit our special girls, who’ll receive them with thanks, appreciation and as much love as they receive from the Hamburger family.
